Rev. Johnson was born in Washington County, Sandersville, GA to Ms. Alice Johnson and Mr. Allen Hinton.
He was educated in the public schools of Sandersville and Atlanta, GA, graduating in the 1980 Class of Washington High
School. While in high school he played football. He continued his education at Clark Atlanta University where
he was the President of the National Service Fraterntiy, Alpha Phi Omega. He served as President of the fraternity for
two years. After receiving his BS Degree from Clark, he earned a Masters Degree from Morehouse College.
Rev. Johnson is married to Sister Vernice LeShawn Worthy Johnson. They have a five year son, Joshua. He is a preschool
student at Middle Georgia Christian Academy. Rev. Johnson confesses to being an exercise"aholic." He and Sister
Johnson spend time at the gym several days a week.
